Our Family

Frank’s Restaurant was started by Frank Castellana along with his wife Marie Castellana after moving businesses of his own, Split T and Self Service, from Northwest Atlanta on Simpson Street. Frank’s Restaurant has been a fixture in Covington for 43 years. If was first started in 1970 on Highway 36 in Covington beside Frank’s One Stop until it was destroyed by fire in 1973. After the destruction the restaurant was moved to its current site located on Highway 212. The restaurant was started with 2 rooms and has grown substantially over the past 40 years into the largest restaurant in the City of Covington, GA. The last remodeling was done over the past 8 years adding a full sports bar with flat screen televisions in every room with a full bar to match.

Frank Castellana was a U.S. veteran who was significantly involved in the community by the assistance in building the Stewart Volunteer Fire Department and the continued use of Heard-Mixon Elementary, which most of his grandchildren received their grammar school education. Frank’s Restaurant was also awarded a Partner in Education by Alcovy High School involving sponsoring of sports teams and assisting the Special Education department in teaching the students ways to work and improve their chances of getting a job after high school. Frank Castellana was a family man who proudly operated this restaurant with his wife, Marie, and their children and close family including Vivian Fuller, Keith Fuller, Chris Castellana, Emanuele Castellana, Michael Castellana, and Joanna Jones. Frank passed away in May, 2012, yet the Frank’s Restaurant family business lives on through his children.
